Climate-friendly spaces for active mobility
In the midst of rapid change in the redesign of public spaces for the mobility transition and climate change, adaptation is urgently needed. In light of global targets, including climate neutrality by 2040 in Austria, a climate-friendly redesign of public spaces is becoming increasingly urgent. This includes a reallocation of space in favor of sustainable forms of mobility such as walking and cycling as well as ecological adaptations to cope with climate change.
Our university course provides you with the necessary skills to tackle these challenges. You will acquire fundamental knowledge and specialized expertise in the planning of cycling and walking as well as the design of sustainable, climate-fit and resilient open spaces and their networks. We emphasize making these spaces accessible and inclusive for all to promote diverse active mobility and meet the demands of climate change.
