Together for active mobility
The opening event of the Center for Active Mobility took place on February 8, 2024. The interdisciplinary center, initiated by the University of Graz and Graz University of Technology, is dedicated to the development of sustainable solutions in the field of mobility.
The event was opened by welcoming speeches, including those from University Professor Dr. Alfred Posch, University Professor Dr. Andrea K. Steiner, University Professor Michael Monsberger, Provincial Councillor Barbara Eibinger-Miedl, Deputy Governor Anton Lang and Deputy Mayor Judith Schwentner.
A keynote speech by DIin Lina Mosshammer BSc, co-founder and CEO of Punkt vor Strich, and a panel discussion with experts such as Univ.-Prof.in Dr.in rer.soc.oec. Nina Hampl, Arch.in Univ.-Prof.in Aglaée Degros, DI Wolfgang Feigl and Landesbaudirektor DI Andreas Tropper offered insights into the future activities of the center.
The event concluded with a poetry slam by Witterich and a cozy finale with a buffet hosted by Wolf-Timo Köhler from the Department for Citizen Participation of the City of Graz.
The Center for Active Mobility combined expertise and commitment to develop innovative solutions for a sustainable and active future of transportation. The opening event thus not only offered insights into the center's research program, but also created a platform for the exchange of ideas and opinions.
